I have created a profile to put the phone in silent mode when I am on a call. I got tired of having my email notifications go off in my ear or for the phone to vibrate while I was talking on it. Especially because the other party can hear it and always asks about it. It works  fine as long as I do not move in between other profiles where sound volumes are set. For example, at home, I have media, notification and ringer volume each set to about 5.  If I place a call or receive an incoming call, the phone will go into silent mode and when the call is over the volume settings revert, which is great. However, if I place a call at home and then leave on a walk for example, which then puts me into a different profile silent mode kicks off and I can once again hear all the noises and sounds from the phone.

Is there a way to keep this on call profile on top of all the other ones so if I happen to switch locations while I am on a call the phone will not go out of silent mode and then take on the settings of the profile I am currently in?

One way would be to have your phone call profile disable the other profiles upon entry and reenable them upon exit. That seems simplest to me but I don't know how many other profiles we're talking aobut.

Another way would be to have the other profiles check whether the phone profile is active based on %PACTIVE or based on some variable set by the phone profile.

There may be other ways...
