So i have a scene that i want to display a contect photo in. So before i show the scene i do the Test action to get the file path put into a variable. Unfortunately i can't set the image on a scene that isn't active. Which means I have to show the scene then change the image which results in showing a different image for a brief period before it gets changed to the correct one.

It would be nice to set the image in the scene editor to a variable so i can update that variable before showing the scene and the scene will pick up the correct image when it first shows.

Have you tried 'create scene' action before 'show scene' action?

That should allow tasker to utilize the image buffer of your device, essentially what I believe you want to achieve. If I understand you correctly.

If you start going crazy with scene generation, you'll need to get comfortable using the 'destroy scene' action, to clear the buffer.

Use a Load Image action to load the image buffer with your image. Set the Scene Image element to Image buffer.
I believe Pent is looking into making a change to allow a variable to be used directly in the scene image element.
