How is my task still running if I stop all tasks and also disable tasker?

How is my task still running if I stop all tasks and also disable tasker?

I've got a task that loops.  It's designed to stop running after I exit out of the app it's running in.  It beeps just before it stops.  But it keeps running.  How?  More importantly, how does it keep running when I stop all tasks and even disable tasker altogether?

That doesn't make sense.
