There are some market apps that vibrate when call connected, but i am
just wondering if it's possible to handle call connected event, so i
can use it with vibration, call recording, etc.

Do you have any ideas ?

Event "Off hook" maybe a good place to start.

thanks for your reply but phone off hook triggers only when the call
is connected, what i want is to vibrate when otherside is answered.

is there a solution for this ?

and my other question is how to develop an additional context, event
or plugin for tasker ?

I don't know offhand how they are detecting a call connection, as far
as I recall there's no corresponding API call in Android (which is why
there's no event in Tasker).

Yes, I want this too cause I want to keep the phone far away from my head, and when it is answered, I feel the vibration and put it close again to my ear.

+1
now I'm using Call Vibrate, but it would be nice to replace it by Tasker

Oh I was just asking about this. Didn't see this topic. So... "Off hook" DOES detect when the call connects? As far as at least on our end where android starts the timer in the call screen? Because right now I'm using just "Call" and it starts BEFORE that timer starts. Timer starts when ringing starts, but "Call" event seems to start WAY before that.

Will "off hook" fix it if I just need it to start when my side starts ringing>? I need for inbound and outbound calls.

I also would love to have that option.
That would be the solution to the Pent implement this event?

Just wondering if anyone has had any headway on this.

No, read your link again. The code snippet given does not do what you want.

So, still no way for Tasker to do this, because there's no way for Android to know this.

When you are dialing (ringing/waiting for other side to pickup) you have several options on screen (keyboard, stop bluetooth, speakermode), and i also have "record" (allows me to record 2-way calls, not trough microphone) but is not selectable until the call is established, wich means it CAN detect when the other side picks up.

The dialing menu must be some android application, couldn't that be used to make Tasker know when call is established ?

I would have to say, that is not a standard feature for every device. It may not be possible for tasker to detect this as result.

I found out how to make it start recording when call is established, but i need help to check when it actually started because i need to loop action until it does.

Root is needed for this:

1 - On my phone, i go to advanced settings and activate cursor location.
2 - Make a call, press the record button and write down the dX and dY values. End the call. Turn OFF the cursor location.
3 - Tasker, create Profile "name_of_profile" with State / Outgoing Call + Event / Phone Off Hook.
4 - Add tasks to that profile: [Task Wait 1 second], [Script / Run Shell],  on Command type "input tap dX dY" (dX and dY are the values you wrote down).
5 - Check "Use Root" option
6 - This is the part i don't know, Tasker needs to check if phone is recording audio, if it's recording, task will end, if it's not, it will go to action [Wait 1 second] to press again because the record button will only be clickable when call is established.

If there any variable to check if phone is recording audio ?
Or any other suggestions ?
