Hi,

I have a Samsung S5e tablet running Android 9 and want to use it as an indoor station for my door intercom/video.
It has the respective app ("DoorBird") installed, which sends a notification everytime someone rings the bell. Once I click it, the video feed shows up.

I managed to open the app and display the video already using Tasker, but this only works, when the device is awake and active (or I manually "unlock" the device).
I'm looking for a solution to open the app in the foreground (so the video feed comes up automatically) even when the tablet is in sleep state or on the lockscreen (I have no PIN/Pattern set, so it is not really "locked").

Is there a way to do this?

I'd appreciate any help.
Julian

Have you tried turning on the tablet before opening the app?  To turn on the tablet, use Display | Turn On.

If you have a swipe to unlock set, you might need to use AutoInput to perform that swipe.

Not yet, I might try that.
When in idle, the tablet is in a charging dock and runs Samsung's "Daily Board" app which shows Weather, Clock, etc. So the Display should already be "on". AutoInput might help indeed, I will check that out.
I think the swipe will be necessary, since I can't turn off the lockscreen completely.

I have my tablets running a simpliar screensaver called "Night Clock", so I have a similear situation.

I can terminate the screensaver by pressing the back button, which ends the screensaver, and puts the display back to where it was previously.

I use Autoimput to send the back button.
