to Tasker

Hello all,

I'm on a quest to transform my smartwatch into a minimal brain-computer interface, and I'm exploring the use of checklists managed via Tasker directly on the watch.

While voice control has made interacting with devices more convenient, I also want my smartwatch to serve as a short-term memory supplement for routine tasks (such as shopping, workouts, chores, and regular self-monitoring).

My only moderately satisfying checklist experience so far has been with Google Keep, but I'm curious to hear from others about similar implementations or alternative approaches.

What I'm Looking For:

  • Successful Implementations:
Have you managed checklists on your smartwatch? What did you like best about your solution? I'm especially interested in learning about:

    • The apps or integrations you used (including any Tasker connections).

    • How you balanced checklist interactions with other concurrent watch tasks.

  • Challenges Encountered:
If you attempted to use checklists or integrate them with Tasker but encountered roadblocks, what were the decisive obstacles that stopped you?

  • Alternative Memory Aids:
Have you implemented any other short-term memory supplements on your smartwatch (or similar devices)? If so, please share what worked and how you set it up.

My long-term vision is to build a collection of refined, self-curated checklists that I can summon via voice commands—possibly enhanced by AI to adapt to context. For now, my immediate goal is to develop a pleasant and efficient checklist experience on the smartwatch that doesn’t hinder switching between apps or screens.

Thanks for your attention! I look forward to your insights and suggestions!
