Hello,

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+, Andriod 5.1.1

I'm trying to turn on the WiFi hotspot with the task:

1. WiFi Tether
    Set On

When I run the task I get the following:
16.26.39/E current state: 1
16.26.39/E WiFi Tether: cur: false new: true
16.26.39/M lastWifiDisableAgoMS: 1464726399540
16.26.39/E check AP state
16.26.39/E AP state: 1
16.26.39/M lastWifiDisableAgoMS: 1464726399541
16.26.39/E current state: 1
16.26.39/E curval: 1
16.26.39/E WiFi: cur: false new: false
16.26.39/E wait for 200ms
16.26.39/E wait finished
16.26.39/E WiFi Tether: setWifiEnabled()
16.26.39/Mirror setWifiApEnabled: InvocationTarget: java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException, java.lang.SecurityException: ConnectivityService: Neither user 10291 nor current process has android.permission.CONNECTIVITY_INTERNAL.
16.26.39/E WiFi Tether: enable failed
16.26.39/E Action WiFi Tether failed.

Any Ideas?
Cheers,
Jeff

Also, Tethering does work when I turn it on the normal way via settings, and the phone is not rooted.

Update 2:

I installed the "Secure Settings" plugin and created the task:
  1. Secure Settings
    Configuration Wifi Hotspot Enabled.
When I run this task, I now get the msg:
An error occured while executing action: Wifi Hotspot!

In Secure Settings / Options / Actions / Wifi Hotspot has a green circle icon and a green check, which leads me to assume it thinks it is enabled.

Losing hope.

Googling around, this problem seems to be specific to some Samsung ROMs
unfortunately.

The permission that it's asking for cannot be acquired by normal apps only
by system apps (hence the Settings app can do it).

p.s. works fine on an S7, just tested so maybe it's not even intended
and was fixed in later ROMs.
