Hi all

Please help create a task that scrolls notifications across my tablet in full screen mode.
My aim is to use Tasker to display important information about Towns whenever I drive past them for the purposes of letting my kids learn about these towns when travelling.This information should be displayed scrolling  across my tablet in full screen in a manner similar to Marquee Banner Text Scroll (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zorac.marquee&hl=en).

Regards

Search this group IIRC Saad asked about scrolling notifications. Should narrow it down a bit.

For display purposes I'd look into HTML Marquee code displayed inside a webview.

Thanks  for your reply.Sean,I had tried using HTML Marquee but the problem is the text size.HTML has a limit in the size of the text displayed which is too small to view from a distance.

You could try this,

<!-- HTML -->
<style type="text/css">
.html-marquee {height:400px;width800px;background-color:ffff33;font-family:Arial;font-size:200px;color:000000;font-weight:bold;border-width:1;border-style:solid;border-color:ff0000;}
</style>
<marquee class="html-marquee" direction="left" behavior="scroll" scrollamount="8" ><img src="http://"> Scrolling Marquee </marquee>

Saad

The scrolling text seems bumpy as the scrolling speed increases.Is it possible to make the scrolling more smoother.
Thanks

If you want smooth scrolling you'll need to use the marquee in a webview as suggested previously.
