Samsung galaxy s4: after updating to lollipop, tasker is periodically removed from notification access list.

Hi,

I have set tasker up to silence my 'phone during meetings. This was working fine until lollipop.
Then my s4 recently updated to lollipop.
Now, sometimes my phone will ring when I am in a meeting and I thought it would be silent (because tasker did not have access to notifications).

The reason is tasker keeps getting removed from the list of apps allowed access to notifications.

I keep adding tasker back to the list (see attached tasker1.png) but then a few hours later the checkbox is cleared again and tasker can't access notifications again. (tasker2.png).

If tasker is in the list it all works fine.
So now I have to manually check each time to make sure tasker still has access to notifications, which kind of defeats the purpose...

Strangely, it still works fine on my wife's samsung s5 - also on lollipop.

Anyone have any ideas to fix it?

Thanks in advance.

It's a bug of the Samsung s4 lollipop ROM :( there is no way to fix it, you need to wait a fix by Samsung.

Does this bug only effect Tasker? If so, maybe you could use the AutoNotification plug-in as a workaround?

On my wife's S4 which was doing this I disabled glanceviewmk from having the notification access and the problem of the other ones losing it stopped... :-/ It's for Quick Glance which she doesn't use anyway.

Not scientifically proven as it's only been a few days, but it hasn't happened since I did it.

Great news. How have you solved? The link topic is about accessibility....

Yes, the problem was that tasker kept getting removed from the access list. This fixed it.
I think the thread  name may be slightly misleading as it refers to accessibility not access.
anyway the fix works for me ...
