Hello,

I would like to take a photo with Tasker with the screen locked; I know it was possible back in the day, but it's been a long time since I last tried. The goal is to take a photo instantly without having to unlock my smartphone (maybe with button mapper). Or even to be able to take a photo remotely from my watch.

Do you have any idea how I can do this?

Thank you

EDIT :  I just tried taking a photo at a set time, with the screen off, using MacroDroid, and it worked, so it's possible.
But my favorite program remains Tasker. And I surely won't be able to do everything with MacroDroid; it's just that it's possible to take photo screen off.

Try turning the screen on just before taking the photo. I was able to take one that way. I did set the "Turn On" block time to maximum (1 second).

Thanks for the suggestion. It was a good idea but it didn't work on my s22

When the camera is activated on the s22 I have a sort of green LED which is simulated in the top right edge.

When I try your method (Turn On +1s) I also see this LED light up, but it doesn't take a photo if the phone is locked, even if I leave the screen on for several seconds.

The camera can't seem to take a photo when my phone is locked.

To occasionally take a photo I could deactivate my lock code and it should work, because when you turn on the screen it would unlock.

But I couldn't use this method all the time and leave my phone unsecured.

Interesting. It worked for me on my Samsung S22 Ultra (AT&T version). It did not work when I used too short of a blocking value in the Tasker "Turn On" action though.
