Hi Friends,

I am Very new to Tasker. I would like to execute an app using tasker while an incoming call comes. More specifically, I would like to run the app "Lollipop Call" while an incoming call comes and need to minimize the default calling screen.
I tried with

Event : Phone Offhook
Launch app : Lollipop call

Unfortunately, I am getting two errors
1. App is launching with default caller screen after android's deep sleep. Means, working perfectly until the screen goes off.
2. Instead of executing the app, the app's UI also launching and while call ends the app's UI will exist as opened.

Kindly help me please. Please consider that I am a new born baby in taskers world.

I'm not sure this will help, but you might try adding a few "Wait" actions to you task.

New Profile > Event > Phone > Phone Ringing > Caller ____

New Task:
Add Action > Task > Wait > Seconds 1
Add Action > App > Go Home
Add Action > Task > Wait > Seconds 2
Action > App > Launch App > Lollipop Call

Hi Sir,

Thanks a lot let me try this.

Apart from this, Can we execute the app rather than launching it. When the app launch, it is opening the app's UI which is annoying.

Can you please tell me how to keep the app in the background without being killed by the android ? Can we do it using the plugin "K Tasker process" and if so, kindly tell me how?

"how to keep the app in the background without being killed"
Try adding another "Go Home" action at the end of your task, like this:

New Profile > Event > Phone > Phone Ringing > Caller____

New Task
Add Action > Task > Wait > Seconds 1
Add Action > App > Go Home
Add Action > Task > Wait > Seconds 2
Add Action > App > Launch App > Lollipop Call
Add Action > Task > Wait > Seconds 2
Add Action > App > Go Home

Hopefully my suggestion of adding a Go Home action will only minimize "Lollipop Call" UI while continuing to run the app in the background.

Sorry, I'm not sure, what "K Tasker process" is, but hopefully my suggestion of Go Home action will work for you.

Hello Sir,

Thanks for the help.

Can you please tell me, how to minimise "Only the caller screen" using tasker. Means, I just need the caller screen to minimise rather than minimising the enire apps I am working while an incoming call comes.

Ok, I think I'm beginning to understand, what it is that you want.

But I'm not sure it's as simple as you make it sound "I just need the caller screen to minimise". At least, I don't know how to keep it that simple, but I think I can get there in a round about way.
(If anyone else reading this has some good ideas, please feel free to chime in.)

Before I get started, please let me make sure I understand exactly what you want tasker to do:

So, as an example, let's say you are currently 'reading an email on your phone', when suddenly you are interrupted by a phone call on that vary same phone.  You want to be able to answer the phone AND continue 'reading an email on your phone'.

Is that about right?

So when your phone rings you want to have the option to

Answer (or Reject) the call

Then (once you have chosen to answer the phone)

Immediately (and automatically) return  to the screen you were on BEFORE the call came in, so you can continue working (while still on the phone).

If this is what you're looking for, please confirm, and I will be happy to (as best I can) help you make a profile that does exactly this.

 Hope you can help me.

Sir,

One more thing, If a call comes while I am on a mail (or any app), I need to complete the work I am doing with out interrupting the call. Some thing like POP UP A CALL with ANSWER,REJECT and MUTE Option. Call should draw on the top of everything but need to work on the underneath apps. Hope you get me.

I use lollipop call as well, it's a good app but has its limitations. Brian the lollipop caller id pops up and is persistent, the only way to dismiss it is either click on 2 buttons. One to take you to the factory call screen and the other to dismiss the call.
What I would prefer, is to create a scene with the same functionality but more options.

Can you please help me to do that. As I wrote earlier, I am a new born baby in tasker's world.
