to Tasker

I have a task that automates an import feature of a specific app. This feature requires about 15 taps to complete so it’s a prime candidate for Tasker. I have successfully fine tuned a task that's up to 75 action steps to automate this feature. Works great, all the time, except one step. The feature of this app that I’m automating is a file import capability, however, when the Tasker task gets to the action step that invokes the app’s file picker UI, no file can be clicked by Tasker/AutoInput nor shell input tap methods--nothing happens and I have to select the file myself and do the click manually. Having clicked on a file myself, the task carries on executing every other action automatically as expected.

Tasker documentation says: "AutoInput uses an accessibility service to click on stuff and sometimes apps are coded in such a way that the accessibility click is disabled." but this app looks like it simply launches the OS's file picker UI. Could it really be that Android 11 (or at least my ROM's) file->open (file picker UI) is not accessibility enabled?
