bluetooth signal strength

From what I understand, tasker has limitations for interacting with Bluetooth. Something I'm searching for is a a way to grab/act on certain device signal strengths. I've only found a small set of apps that actually read these values, and have found nothing relating this and tasker together.

I'm looking around for a solution, and am considering creating a solution of my own if else.
I'd appreciate any help if anyone has any info on this.

No, Tasker doesn't consider signal strengths for BT Connected or the upcoming BT Near state.

The BT Near feature will let you notice if the watch is nearby, I presume the watch doesn't have a super strong BT radio.

bump, looking to use this as an IPS for my home.  With all my automation and house talk back, I'd like elements to happen only in the rooms I'm in (not all over the house).  :|

Any progress on this (BT signal strength?)
