I just noticed yesterday that none of my Task Shortcut Widgets were working.  I have about 8 shortcuts on a single screen that point to tasks that perform HTTP Gets to my HA web server to control lights, launch music, etc.  These just stopped working in the last couple weeks. From within Tasker, the tasks all work fine.

The Run Log indicates the shortcuts are not firing the tasks.

I've tried recreating the shortcuts, I've tried Task Widgets, Task Shortcut Widgets, recreating tasks that do something simple.  Nothing.  I've removed Tasker as Device Admin, cleared data and cache and re-installed and started over.  I can't for the life of me get a shortcut to work with even a simple Popup task.  Like I said, Run Log indicates the tasks aren't firing.

Im on a OnePlus running OxygenOS which is essentially OnePlus's vanilla ASOP ROM.  No updates to the OS as I have to manually flash them myself.

I'm about to test this on my old Galaxy S4 just to see if it's me or Tasker that's the problem, but thought I'd check here first to see in anybody else is having this problem.  Thanks!

Perhaps your launcher got a auto update. I would start by trying a different launcher.

Thanks for the reply.  Oxygen uses GoogleNow as its launcher so Im sure thats highly possible.  I'll give it a try.

OK, I tested the latest Tasker on my Tablet and everything worked fine...no problems, although Tablet is previous version of Android.  Then I uninstalled Tasker on my phone, removed all Tasker data and manually installed the previous Tasker version 4.7u2 from APK.  Everything worked fine.  Then I uninstalled that and installed the latest Tasker (4.7u3) from the Play store and everything is also working fine.

So evidently, in my early testing, I must not have performed a truly clean removal of all my settings.  Perhaps an update to Google Play caused an issue whereby Tasker needed a fresh install after the update.

Anyway, I seem to be back in business at this point.  Thanks!

I meant to say Google NOW, not Google Play.
