No exit task?

I've been working extensively with Tasker over the last week or so and
just today I noticed that I can no longer create an Exit Task. I'm
not sure if it happened with the latest update or if something changed
in my system. Now when I click on an Enter Task, it presents me with
the option to Add Task (with the Exit symbol, but not the word Exit)
and when I do add a task, it creates is as another Enter Task. Then
when I click on one of the two Enter tasks, it no longer presents me
with the option to add a task. Something is messed up. Neither of
the tasks runs as an Exit task.

I'm trying a reboot now to see if that corrects it...

No, it's still flaky. When I first created a new profile and added
two tasks, the second one came is as an Exit. I still can't change
the two existing profiles I've got.

The reason I'm trying to add an Exit task is because I'd like to set
the TeslaLED to on and leave it on after the task exits. Is there no
way to set a state and leave it on after the task exits without
repeating the command in the Exit task (assuming you can create an
Exit task...)

Thanks,

Dan

It will be left on anyway, because instant profiles don't restore
settings.

Sounds like you might be using an event context, which are
instantaneous and can't have an exit task. Events don't change, they
just happen. State contexts can have an exit task because they have
duration...they can and most certainly will change states.

Thanks guys. I now understand the event context. I just figured out
what's been giving me the grief. I'll start a new thread so it's
easier for other to see.

Basically, TeslaLED doesn't stay on when the screen turns off when
called by Tasker.
