No, your not missing anything obvious. Utter is not designed to allow easy interface to apps like Tasker.

If you are referring to Tasker, the answer is 'No' for editing source files.If you have a android emulator installed on your pc, you might be able to run Tasker on that and be able to use the pc keyboard to develop. I've never tried it.

You trigger tasks in Tasker from Utter, you don't pick up commands from Utter in Tasker. That's why you can't find it
