Hello.
I help out with testing for Magisk and noticed a problem with Tasker root detection when running an internal test build. There's a new feature that's gonna be available for the next version of Magisk: Hiding the Magisk Manager by giving it a completely random package name. Doing this causes Tasker to not see that the device is rooted though. If Tasker detects MagiskSU by looking for the Magisk Manager, it'd probably be a good idea to change detection method in the near future.
Best regards Didgeridoohan

Hi, I recently updated Magisk and I can confirm that Tasker (V5.1 b2) won't detect root if it's hiden. I tried to add the line "# modversion" to the build.prop but it doesn't help. Christophe

even Today the tasker is not able to recognize MagiskSu when manager is hidden from Settings. I hope this thread gets lot of attention so Tasker devs can pay little attention for this issue.
