Hi guys,

I have seperate tasks that set a BT variable on and off. To enable BT the var BTon is set to 1, when it should be disabled the var is set to 0.

Now there is a BT task, that looks if the var BTon is set or not and perform the action based on that. (enabling/disabling BT).

Now I get a popup/notification with one of this content:
  • Tasker wants to disable Bluetooth
  • allow tasker to enable Bluetooth?
Now I have to allow it manually - its not automated..

Why I get this popup? Have I forgotten to set some settings?
Is there any solution to full automate my BT?

In case of enabling/disabling WiFi this scheme works well without those popups/notifications..

Thank you for help!

best regards
larox

I don't get this with my phone, Samsung note 9 or 8. It could be your phone. Maybe try the custom setting to set if it works better, or make a tank that will enable it ( auto input) the popup or what ever prompt you are getting.

I too am having this same problem as larox with Huawei Mate 20 Pro running  Android 9 . I don't know if its the Huawei skin or the Android 9 causing the popup message. I have reported it to Huawei but they not been able to assist me. Also mailed the extension developer but had not reply.

To help explain i have included the message we are seeing and an app i am using.

Message screenshot --> http://prntscr.com/lni9px (also attached)
App i--> "Phone Schedule" which i have used before with no problems of different phones --> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.antonc.phone_schedule&hl=en_GB

For me this does cause problems as the phone alarm is a radio when bluetooth is on it connects to the speaker in other room so it can't be heard.

I am hoping someone can assist us

Regards,
Paul

I have the same issue on Huawei Mate 10 pro. Which makes it seem like it is an Huawei issue...

I have tried modifying (disable/enable) notification access and such, without luck.

Hi there. That's an issue with Huawei devices. Unfortunately with the Android 9 update they started showing a dialog to ask you to confirm the bluetooth toggle that should happen in the background. Unfortunately there's no way that I know of to do it in the background. Maybe you can look in your device settings?
In any case, you can automate accepting that dialog with AutoInput (http://joaoapps.com/autoinput/). Really wish they hadn't made that change.

Hope this helps.

Hi Joao,

thanks for the answer. Wouldn't there be a limitation if the 'action' happens while the screen is off and the phone locked?

Cheers,
Bart

Hi there Stranger,
I have the same problem with Mate 2p pro. Tried autoinput already and this specific pop-up is not able to be automatically clicked!
No chance... Starting VPN with Autoinput works fine for example... But this Huawei restricted BT toggle pop-up is anoing... I filed a bug report with Huawei support... Hope the change it
