I wish I knew how.

If someone wants to investigate and tell me the relevant linux
commands I'm happy to add an action for it.

I found this for GB:

1. Enable USB MASS STORAGE mode (UMS)
adb shell /system/bin/sdutil ums enable
2. Mount it into a folder
sudo mount /dev/sdb ~/SDCARD
3. Disable USB MASS STORAGE
adb shell /system/bin/sdutil ums disable

seems ICS doesn't support UMS natively as it has MTP..

Hello all.

@Raghuvir Dass:
There a Free application named Secure Settings on the market, it can be used as plugin for
Tasker and is packed with features (as long as your device is ROOTed)... :-)
Hope It'll help.

Enjoy
D.

Hello,
I was wondering if Tasker could enable usb mass storage mode when I
plug my phone into my computer. Right now I have to drag the
notifications bar down, select the notification and then enable it. I
tried finding it on my own but couldn't. There doesn't seem to be any
tutorial for it online.

I found the context which was "usb plugged in" under the hardware
option located under "state". I don't know what to do next. Any help
on this would be really appreciated. Thanks.

Secure Settings does NOT need a rooted device. True, there are more
things that are available for a rooted device, but as there are plenty
of users out there who are unable to root their devices (work-supplied
units, devices under warranty, etc), this sort of advice - and you are
by no means the only one to offer it incorrectly, D - is neither
helpful to users or to Corey, the Secure Settings dev.
