Hi there, how can I get the source code (html form) of a webpage opened in taske's webview element..... ?

please spread some info if you know.. thanks..

Search the group I made a scene that did this ages ago can't remember how I did it.

Oh thanks allot... Thank you very much for that .. But do you know any key words related to that??
Actually I want to login in particular website using http get/post but it don't seems work.. Do you know any information related to that? I'll be appreciated.. Thanks again to share info..

Open the page in a desktop browser, they have various tools the most basic is view source.

hi sean I know that but in this case I want html of logged in webpage which is not possible ..

I tried to use the http get action but it dosen't seems to work do you have any idea of how to get html og logged in webpage??

I can't provide a solution. Jay M predates me here on this forum. Try and find his thread this sort of request has come up before.

okay thanks for your interest ...

though I want to do is that login to my college page where I get daily updates .. I am trying to get html of that page so that I can make my phone speak new notifications..

I did that in the other way by putting the webview in direct mode and use below html to login automatically.

It is logging in automatically if put correct details.So either I need to login using http post action of tasker to get html of logged in webpage or I need to have source of webpage above after login in webview element...

This was seriously hard to find I tried everything in the end I searched for my name and found It :) hopefully there's some decent info in there.

ah, finally got aomething load, had to strip /m from the url, harder to read but at least I got there. Google groups is so buggy.

A shame, link shows a screenshpot but doesn't actually explain how to get source from webview, I'm also now curious to know how the webview was searched, also not explained.

The effort was none-the-less appreciated.

Yeah I said there *might* be some decent info in that thread, not that there is, it was made a while ago I cant remember how I did it and I don't use Tasker anymore so I can't share the profile/tasks/scene. I no the paste URL from clipboard button takes the link from Boat Browser though because that's always been my preferred browser, but looking through its settings I can't see a source code option so I have no idea how I got it :/ shouldn't be hard to find out though I learnt it from somewhere/someone try a Google search that will be what I did.
