Are you sure?
The tasker icon is in the top left.

The 'tasker' icon in the upper right can not be enabled from the task edit screen. You need to be in the profile edit screen.

Those icons are to delineate between actions and settings in a task and have always been grey as far as I know. Try long pressing the 'tasker' icon in the upper right from the profile screen.
There are 2 icons on the right, one for each Task.
What do they represent and what determines their color?
Re. versions, phone, etc, it's all in the original post.
Dave
Exit Tasker Completely then open it so your at this screen (see screenshot) Notice the grey icon in the top left corner thats an on/off switch long press it to toggle it when its lit up Taskers enabled.
The 2 icons on the right are as follows
1st. No idea lol
2nd. The little cog symbol means when that task has ended the settings will be restored automatically ( of course you can change that though)
Sure someone else will no what that 1st icons for.

The first icon indicates a plugin action. That icon will be unique based on the plugin.
In this case, AutoVoice.
How does one change the Task-end settings so that theyre not restored?

Accessed in the task properties (little three lines icon) and deselecting 'restore system settings' or 'restore settings' something like that.
Conversely, you're probably aware specifying a settings change in an 'exit' task is a flag that tasker shouldn't 'restore' that specified setting. Making it possible to have all settings restored that were changed, except certain ones the user desires.
Glad to help :-)
Oh yeeeah thanks :)
