Hello,

A problem I have at the moment is that I have my phone go silent when
I go to sleep (context: between 22:00 and 8:00 and plugged to AC,
Task: silent mode on)
but lately I tried to implement that when certain people (BF, parents)
try to call me at night, the phone will ring (because they'll only
wake me up for emergencies). I tried loads of things..
- Put an invert 'if' on the silent mode in which I identied either the
caller name, or just the group 'favorites'
- Add a separate profile in which the context is the caller ID and the
task the silent mode go off. (Told both profiles that they should run
together in case of collision.
- Lots more

The second one (separate task) seemed to work, in such that the silent
mode would go off, as long as the call was active. Fantastic! Except
that the phone would not ring, which is why I went through the whole
thing in the first place.

I tried to bypass the whole ringing thing by adding the playing of a
music file (can't add the ringtone, can't find it i my files on HTC
Desire) in the task (highly not preferable, but hey, if that does
work, it at least narrows down the problem). But this wouldn't stop
playing when the caller stopped calling. Which is of course a pain in
the ass at night. ;)

I hope my whole chaotic story/problem is still at least a bit clear..

Does anybody know how best to put my wish in one or multiple profiles?

Cheers!

I used "Notify Sound" to put a notification icon in the top bar and play a music file.  That way I can click the notification icon and kill the music play before answering the phone.

You would need to add another profile with a context of Phone
Offhook. The task will simply be Music Stop

Hmm... I actually just did this exact same thing today. I added a new
profile with an Incoming Call context for the specific caller(s) and a
context for plugged in since I always charge my phone at night. Then
my task set Silent Mode to off and set the ringer volume to 7. It
seems to be working for me...

Hi,
What you want is for the phone to turn on silent mode at certain time and it only rings on certain person's call?

Have you solved your problems?

First of all I am using Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7105.

What I do is I make 2 profile.

1. Silent mode
+, Time (select silent time), back, + new task, +, audio, silent mode, @Mode: select ON. Back 2x.

2. Important person calls
+, state, phone, call, @NUMBER tab the magnifying & select "Any favourite Contact", back, + new task, +, audio, silent mode, @Mode: select OFF. Back 2x.

Now it's done, but REMEMBER to open your contact and tab the person you accept the calls and tab the star on the top right. Without doing this, they will not be able to contact you.
