Hi,

I have a Tomtom Go 600 GPS that must connect to my android device (Wiko Cink Five, same as Cynus T5, Canvas HD or Micromax A116, Android 4.1.2) with bluetooth tethering to access Internet and Traffic Info.

I found with Tasker ans Secure Settings how to activate Bluetooth tethering when my tomtom connects to my phone. But I always have to explicitly authorize my device to use my access point. Problem is that I have to do that everytime I start my tomtom gps because Android doesn't remember previous authorization.

You can see the notification (in french) on the screenshot.

I want tasker to intercept this event and automatically answers to accept.

I don't know how to to that. Can someone help me ?

Thanks a lot,

Sebastien

If you have root, you can stimulate screen taps or navigate the UI with the dpad. Otherwise, probably not possible.

I'm using Tasker and Secure Settings to automate BT tethering from my Nexus 7 to my Galaxy Nexus, and I don't get a prompt like that (I can't read French, but I don't get ANY prompt).  Neither of my devices is rooted.  What you're saying sounds like you are enabling BT tethering AFTER the TomTom device connects to your phone.  Is this the case?  If so, try enabling BT tethering BEFORE the TomTom connects and see if that eliminates the prompt.  If it does, you may be able to have your profile detect the connection from the TomTom device, then turn off BT, then turn on BT and enable tethering, then use Secure Settings to force your Android device to connect to the TomTom AFTER BT tethering has been enabled.  For this to work, you would have to specify a cooldown period for your profile so that it wouldn't reactivate upon the forced connection.

Hi,

No, this is not the case. Bt Tethering is activated before the Tomtom device connects to the phone. Is I deactivate it before, I have no notification, and of course TT Device is unable to connect.

I tried BT Tethering from a GS Tab2 and another Wiko, to my phone. I've the notification in the two cases. I tried from my phone to my tablet, there's no notification on the tablet, it works directly.

Note the android version on my phone is a stock android.

And I'm not the only to have the problem. My phone is the same as Acer Liquid e2, e1 or other mediatek phones :

So actually there's no solution.

I have the same problem with my liquid E3, made a post in the tomtom forum and made a support call. Seems to me there is some sort of a timing issue between the acer phone and tomtom
