Is there a way to catch the event when a SIM toolkit app receives SMS?

My provider has a SIM toolkit app (for authentication) which is being activated by incoming SMS, and then the app plays a notification tone and requests input from user. If the phone is locked at the time the app requests input, the app fails. Therefore, the phone must be manually unlocked before the SMS arrives (user initiates this in the website). Some phones unlock automatically, but not my HTC.

If Tasker would be able to discover the incoming SMS, it could unlock the screen before the app issues the input request. But the usual Receive Text event is not being triggered by this SMS.

Are there any means to do this with Tasker?

Some notifications do not get picked up by Tasker.  Some because the title isn't set and others because they do not use the conventional android methods.  I had this problem with Lotus Notes when I receive an email.

A workaround I use is to detect when the notification sound file is open.  This happens when it plays the notification sound. The context is Event->File->File Opened.  You don't get any information from the notification, but you know that it occurred.  Caution: If the phone is silent or on vibrate, it may not open the file.

Thanks for the idea. Tried this, but the tone played by the SIM Toolkit is not the regular notification sound, hence I have no idea what is the filename - if there is a file for this (this sound might be hardcoded).
