Disclaimer:  I'm a scene newbie.  The limit of my scenes so far are application menus only, so please be kind ;) .

I've created a scene that stretches across the home screen of my S4.  It's 1080 pixels wide, and has 2 text elements that contain the < and > symbols respectively, depicting 'previous' and 'next' arrows.  When tapped, they do a 'Perform Task' on a couple of separate tasks that either switch the wallpaper to the previous one, or the next one, in my gallery.

The only way I could see of doing this scene was to create a horizontal, transparent, bar that stretched all the way across the screen.  When I fire the profile that creates the scene (displayed as 'overlay, blocking'), the scene works, and the arrows successfully control changing my wallpaper in the appropriate way.

The problem is that the band that stretches across the screen doesn't respond to touch, because of the 'Display As' setting of the scene.  I've attached a crude picture below (don't judge my artistic skills, lol):

So, I have a few questions:

1) is it possible to somehow unblock that area and, therefore, touchable?  I've tried the other 'Display As' options, but none of them work the way I want them to.  The arrows need to be present the whole time, and not be destroyed after being used.  They also need to be interactive, due to nature of what they perform.
2) Is there a way for me to create 2 scenes that are aligned properly, one on the left side of the screen, and one on the right, without having to have an area defined in the middle. so that this issue doesn't occur?  If so, how?
3) So far, in my scene creation, I don't see any option to align a scene to only one side.  It seems to want to start, and stick to, the middle of the screen.  So basically, it seems I can't create a 'left side of my home screen' scene.  Is that true?  Are we limited to only 'middle-of-the-screen' scenes, and work our way outwards from there?

Any suggestions on how to make this work would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Yes. Just create two scenes, change the horizontal alignment in the Show Scene action.

Why do you need to use overlay blocking? A dialog scene would be much better. If you go into scene editor tap the magnifying glass and then press menu choose the resize option resize the scene so it doesnt touch the edge of your screen and then go back to the task you use to show the scene and change its x position to left or right and that should force It to the side.

I cant remember which display as it is but one of them only blocks touches on the part of the screen it covers.

To make a scene that looks like one scene but is actually 2 scenes you could use the tab feature found in the beta version.

Thanks for the suggestions.  I think Pent's way is easiest right now, and I don't understand the tabs setup yet, so just easier to create 2 scenes and align them accordingly, and have them run at the same time.

Thanks again!
