Hi!

In my tasker I was made Saytime profile - Speaking clock (I took this
from: http://tasker.wikidot.com/speakingclock).
Can someone tell me how to set up tasker so that if I turn on Silent
mode in my phone it's time to stop playing MP3 files or to be muted
(set to every hour and play with a specific folder).

How can I do this?
Please, help me..

Add a Stop (under Tasker) at the beginning of the task, check the If and enter %SILENT ~ on (lower case is important).

Result: task aborts if silent mode is on.

Unfortunately, I tried like you wrote but it still does not work. I
added a task to "Saytime" and nothing, just tried to add a separate
task, and also no difference .. I do not know what I'm doing wrong, I
did as you wrote. No other ideas?

I think nanobrain's suggestion should work, but you could also try adding a context to the profile:

Context: Variable Value %SILENT !~ on

UncleMike, I was tried do such as nanobrain said and I checked it step
by step many times, but it still doesn't work. I mean sometimes this
method working, but I don't remember what I precisely set in Tasker -
it was very similar to the nanobrain's way and if it is already
running until excluding silent mode then "saytime" in TASKER no longer
works. But if I set nanobrain's method and turn on silent mode then
tasker is still working:/ so there is no one result.

When it comes to your way UncleMike, I tried to do as you say but
unfortunately I do not know exactly how to set it - too little
explained or we have other version of the Tasker. I have 1.0.21u2
version and I can't find options such as you said. What does you mean
by "Context: Variable Value %SILENT !~ on"? What should I precisly
set?

I waiting for help.

I am not sure you have tried the following:

Open your Music Play task (the one that has "Media/Clock/%TIME.mp3x")
In the IF section enter %SILENT !~ on (!~ means Doesn't Match).
Note that 'on' is case sensitive

What UncleMike meant was on short press on either the time or day context (if you implemented it the same way as in the wiki). In the menu (Context Options) that appears, select "Add: (If it asks you if you want to delete the profile, you pressed too long ;) ). From the next menu (Add Context) select "State", then "Variable", there is then only one option "Variable Value", in the name field enter %SILENT , Op is "Doesn't Match" and value is on (lower case). Voila

I am not clearly understanding what your issue with my solution is, if you tap the Music play action in your task, there is an "If" at the bottom with a check box, if you check it you can enter %SILENT in the left field, select Doesn't Match in the grey box and on on the right field.
