Hi there.

I want my phone to vibrate on incoming call when it's in pocket.

To do this I sat a profile that like "when proximity sensor = on" than "vibrate = on".

It works when screen is on, but doesn't work when screen is off, maybe because proximity sensor is off when in standby.

Any other ideas?

Tks a lot!

Check under preferences.

You can have proximity sensor enabled for condition checks while screen is off, but by default is disabled.

Dear,
thank you so much for your answer.

Could you gently help me to find the setting you mean?

I've been browsing the whole settings menu but I found nothing.

Energy saving is disabled on my device.

Also, I'm no more sure that proximity sensor is off because in Motion section Quick Glance is enabled and works: when I put my hand close to the phone it shows quick glance correctly.

Thanks and best regards

The setting Brandon mentioned is under menu/ preferences/ monitor

Why do you want it off?

because in Motion section

What is a motion section?

Quick Glance is enabled

What is Quick Glance?

I'm so sorry.

I was talking about Android's system preferences.

I've just found what he was talking about.

Now it works for a few minutes, then it seems not to answer again; maybe Android disables it anyway...

Thanks!

I just posted about this in another thread.     This is after many hours of testing so I hope this works for you too!

Profile: In Pocket
Context: Received Text Any
Context: Display Off
Task: Play Ringtone Notification, If %SILENT matches Off
Task: Vibrate Pattern

This will vibrate and sound ringtone for text messages when in your pocket or just laying on the table with the display off, unless you set the phone to silent mode, in which case it will just vibrate.   If the display is on, the text message won't make any sound which is useful if you are holding the phone sending multiple texts back and forth.   There will also be no sound or vibration while you are on a phone call holding the phone to your ear.

Profile: Speakerphone
Context: Received Text Any
Context: Call Any
Context: Not Proximity Sensor (Invert)
Task: Vibrate Pattern

This will vibrate a text message while you are using speakerphone (or other method away from your ear

I ran into the same problem. I enable vibrate to be on at all times except when in my car or at home; since I usually don't have the phone in my pocket at those times.
