Pent,

I would like to create a profile to turn on the screen using a
gesture.

2 things:

1.) in the userguide, it says that gesture monitoring is turned off
when the screen is off. Can you make this a setting so I can choose
whether monitoring is on or off, while the screen is off?

2.) my phone does not have a physical camera or call button, so I
cannot record a gesture. Can you include volume buttons, perhaps?
the only other hardware button on my phone is power. if volume isnt
possible, how about a soft-button in the gesture dialog?

Thanks,
Brian

Good idea.

You have a lot of obstacles in front of your goal :) I'll see if I can
find the
power key, I guess virtually all devices have those.

Hi again,

I thought about this some more: if the acceleromater is on while
screen off, I think I would have
to hold a partial wakelock (keep device partially on), so I think it
would murder your battery.

Fair enough, although it may still be a useful feature for some. I
was considering buying the extended Seidio battery anyway, which is
over 2X the capacity of the stock battery. Thanks for your help!
