Hello,

Is it possible to get the status of the smart switches and outlets with Join, Tasker and IFTTT or just way to get the status with Tasker. I would like to make a scene so I can at a glance see if the units are off or on. I use the smart life app but have too many devices and have to scroll down to see them all. I plan to add more devices for outside lighting and a simple on or off next to the device name would help.

Thanks for any help.

I use Sonoff devices and they are strange.  If I use IFTTT to monitor their state changes they only report state changes made if Tasker is NOT involved.  Most of our operations are voice controlled using Echo devices, so this is fine.  If I use Tasker to operate the switches, their state changes are not registered by IFTTT.

Something about the API being public, and they seem to be not interested in Tasker integration.  Using Tasker+Join+IFTTT will control them, but if Tasker is used to change them, then I get no state update, even if IFTTT is monitoring its state.

How are you using tasker to control you sonoff devices?

A Join action to IFTTT that IFTTT catches as a webhook and sends to ewelink.

I rarely used Tasker to control them since I use Alexa to do most of the work. The only one I used Tasker for the most is my garage door opener.

Oh yea... I think we had this discussion before and I had the same results..  for a moment there I thought you were controlling them directly with tasker... of course that would be way to easy..... :)
