Has anyone managed to get the Tasker GET VOICE command to work via the JB offline voice recognition?

This was brought up in August but did not really come to any conclusion - so I am raising it again it the hope someone now has an answer

Google, unfortunately, has the Google Search voice recognition system connected to Google Online and only the keyboard via the microphone symbol can be used for offline voice recognition.

My initial workaround attempt is to try and use Tasker to press the google microphone on the keyboard to activate the offline voice recognition. I've tried the variable query action and different configurations of the D pad to press the microphone symbol on the keyboard but to no avail. Any ideas anyone?

So, is it still there? Should we use utter instead native Tasker's Action?

Could you try building a task that first switches the input method to Google voice typing (secure settings can do this), then have the task request a text input. On completion you could switch it back to your preferred keyboard.

I believe secure settings Google Voice input will activate the launch activity for Google Now Voice Search, and not pass any input into tasker.

Switching locale will require root also. (Switching keyboard)

I could be mistaken, but I believe AutoVoice does not require access online to interpret voice recognition results.

AutoVoice might work for what you're looking for.

Unfortunately AutoVoice works online only or I can't find a way for offline mode
Utter works well in offline.

I think the point is in Google Voice Search API usage. So, that's a Pent's work - to enable offline mode. Yeap? ;)

AutoVoice works offline if you download the offline packages for google in the Android input and voice settings. :)

I haven't that item in Android input and voice settings. (CM 10.2 unofficial) And can't download packs for any language. But Utter work's offline. Rather then AutoVoice launches Google Voice search which tries to connect and fails. WIDW?

Utter uses GVS - that's fact.

In CM10.1 you can find it in the Google now menu. Might be the same for CM10.²

Weird :/ You sure your looking in the right place? what I did was added a Google Search Bar Widget to my home screen then tapped the bar pressed menu/voice and it was in there. If that's what you did then maybe it was removed on your ROM.

Discussed this with AutoVoice dev yesterday, who already replied here. You just need to go on Input in Settings->Voice speech thing, and download offline package of your language, AFTER that you need to select the Voice pack to the one who offline downloaded. And it works offline. Running stock JB 4.1.2 SGS3.

Yes, perhaps it was removed from my ROM. But a bit remains :)

I've got that utter works offline with English (US) lang only regardless of the Voice settings.

I set up Settings->Lang&Input->Voice speech = English(US) and viola ---- AutoVoice and Tasker's GetVoice work offline (as couple with google voice search, of course)

that's all I need. I know a few words in English , so I can set up my commands list as well ;)
