One thing I use Tasker for is to control different volume levels of certain notifications at different times of the day and/or when I'm at different locations.  I just changed phones to an Galaxy S9 which has a separate volume level for Samsung's Bixby assistant.  I don't see that Tasker can control Bixby's level.  Anyone know how I can do this?  Thanks!

If you can configure it manually then try using custom settings. It may find the right action for you.

Tasker did find something, but it didn't work.

I took a couple screenshots but I can't figure out how to post them here mobily.

At this point, I'm not getting and errors when the task runs, however it's not changing the volumes of Bixby.

Unfortunately not all custom settings will work because of how the specific setting was implemented. Sorry, this might be one of those...

Are you saying there may not be a way to control the volume of Bixby? Is this because it's such a new feature of Samsung?

Yes, there's maybe no way to control it unfortunately. I can try when I get home (on monday) but I would just try to use the custom setting action like you did...

Where do you go to change the volume of Bixby? I can try on my Note 9 but I haven't seen a setting for Bixby volume.

Nevermind, I found it but changing the volume through custom settings does not work for me either.

Any luck?

Hmmm, sorry it didn't seem to change anything. I tried both and then each individually. I only find those settings when I used Bixby voice command. I don't see a specific volume control for Bixby.

If you go to Settings>Sounds and Vibration>Volume you can find Bixby Volume setting in there. When you search Custom Settings and change the volume there, Tasker finds the volume_bixby_speaker setting but running it in a task does not change the volume and the slider does not change either. So.. doesn't look like Custom Settings is going to work for this.

Nope. Looks like I'm going to be out of luck on this one.

Solved. Use Bixby Routines to adjust Bixby volume, triggered by notifications from Tasker. Needs Galaxy S10 or newer.
