Bluetooth connection connect/disconnect on android 10, only disconnects one channel.

So, it seems on android 10, when you disconnect/connect bluetooth devices they only disconnect the audio connection to the bluetooth device, not the call connection.
Does anyone know a way around this?
Using Samsung Note9 with android 10.
