Hi!

I have an orphaned tasker task that is quite annoying.

A while ago I showed a friend how you could redirect all calls to one
particular tel. no.

Later I deleted the task, but it is still there.

Everytime I make a call, a notification with the tasker-icon appears

"xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx diverted to yyy-yyy-yyy by pattern *"

If the call is initiated from the dialer-app, the diversion does NOT
take place, but if the call is initiated from other programs, the
diversion DOES take effect. In both cases, the notification is shown.

I've tried deleting ALL my tasks and contexts
I've tried de-installing and re-installing tasker

All to no avail, when tasker is running - the orphaned rule is active

Any ideas?

(this is on a Desire)

Try this one: Menu / More / Run One Action, Phone / Revert Calls (if
you don't have latest version, you need to make a widget to run it).

Although I don't know how that would survive an uninstall....

Thanks! It seems to have cleared now.

OMG! I had exactly the same problem from a similar task! I spent 2
hours on the phone with AT&T, thinking the problem was with my
voicemail setup. Every time I tried dialing it, it would forward to my
home landline. The next day, every call I made was forwarded to my
home number with exactly the same text but without any Tasker icon.
Basically, my phone was useless. I did try the native phone dialer (I
usually use Dialer 1) with the same nasty result. It never occurred to
me that it was a Tasker problem because I had completely deleted the
entire profile also. The only way I could solve it was to revert to a
Nandroid backup, which I must have made before I made that Tasker
profile.
You have solved the mystery that has been bugging me for weeks!
Thanks.

OK, I'll put a warning on that action.

Give this a try "Check to see if you have a profile as well as the task, if so the delete profile first then delete task and it should work", Well it did work for me anyway.
