Hello everyone.

I downloaded tasker yesterday and i´m trying to figure out how to do this.

I have a folder in google drive where there are two files (one image and one text file)

I want to download the .jpg image from that google drive folder and upload it to instagram using auto it.

I also want to copy the instagram caption text from the text file inside that same folder.

I was trying to make this but i wasn´t able to download the images to my phone, it gave me error 1.

Can anybody please give me some tips or guide me a little bit through this?

thanks a lot in advance

Here is a TaskerNet share with examples on how to download or upload files to Google Drive. Run the upload task first because all of the other tasks depend on being able to see the folder it creates.

The upload task just copies the Tasker backup file to Google Drive. If you haven't made a local backup of Tasker before, hit the 3 dot menu in Tasker. Then goto Data>Backup and then hit the arrow at the top left of the screen. It should default to the correct location for the Upload task to find it.

Thanks Robert.
I already can download the files thanks to your script.
I have another question.
It is possible to download the files only when the files are updated on google drive?
I need to perform the download automatically when the file is updated.

Thanks a lot in advance

I don't know for sure that is possible or not. Tasker has file monitor actions but I don't think you can set it to monitor Google drive.

You could make a profile to run on a timed event and just download the file every so often. You could set the profile to run every hour or whatever interval you want.
