Does anyone know how to detect the attachment of the Samsung keyboard cover to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3? I just bought this setup, and using the physical keyboard requires that I select the Samsung virtual keyboard as default. I prefer to use Swype. But when Swype is selected, the physical keyboard doesn't work correctly.
I used to do this with a Logitech keyboard, which attached via bluetooth. That was easy. I detected it's connection state, then changed the default keyboard, all with Tasker, so I didn't need to do it manually. When I disconnected the keyboard, everything reverted to normal.
Now I have a Samsung keyboard, and it attaches directly to the tablet using magnetic contacts. No bluetooth involved, so I don't know how to detect its presence. I am looking for any suggestions. I do not have root on this device, so keep that in mind when suggesting anything. The tablet can detect it, so there must be a way for Tasker to detect it as well.
