to Tasker
I've been lurking about for a while, learning what and where I could, and lately looking for fun things to do with my latest phone (my first with a fingerprint sensor). I realized that nobody was asking for or providing any solution for "adding" fingerprint security to Tasker, so I made a little something to make it quicker to open Tasker while it is password protected. This uses AutoTools (for fingerprint authentication) and AutoInput (for password input) plugins to keep things short and sweet, but I'm pretty sure they aren't the only options. Tasker can handle its own unlocking, for instance, but it might take an extra profile to sense when Tasker opens or a delay, as suits your taste before unlock entry begins.

Anyway, I wanted to make this available in case anyone was interested, as I haven't seen anything to help with this. After you create your task, you just need to create a task shortcut with your favorite launcher (or configure it in the notification shade)and use that to open and unlock Tasker from then on!

Don't forget to substitute your own unlock code for the ###### below.
