Hi,
I use Tasker since I had a Galaxy S4, many years ago.
So I used to add time to time many task, from the simplest one to the smartes one.
I often change phone, and everytime I restore my backup from the cloud, as you can imagine, it is very important to have that backup!

But, this time, after a phone factory reset, I'm not able to restore as I always did!
-If i tap "restore from android cloud backup" it says "Error -1"
-if i tap "restore from Drive" , it says no backup, very strange, because I'm almost sure that i did backup also in Drive.

Anyway, i'm going crazy thinking that i could have lost all my task and profiles, honestly.
I have an old backup made with titanium, but it is very old, not useful.

Help me please? Where "android cloud backup" store the files?

Thanks
Ciao

Tasker backup doesn't work at all and I think at this point it won't be fixed.

What? Sure it works.
Just find the last backup and restore it manually then. You may need to copy it to the phone first. Make sure you are using the same tasker as the back up. You can open the xml file to see what tasker version it was.

Unfortunately, that is not then type of backup the OP is talking about. Tasker has three different backup systems.

The Google Drive and "config to device" backups are very reliable. However, many people have been having problems with the "Android Cloud Backup". This is the one the OP is talking about.

Personally, I have never trusted the ACB option. I have always used Drive, even before it was integrated into Tasker.

Yep, just because Tasker is enough simple to use, lol.

Tasker is the only app on my phone with a not working cloud backup system. If it won't be fixed I don't understand why the option is still there.

Sorry misunderstood. :_/ I thought he was just trying to get his back up on his new phone. That was what I was emphatically saying is doable. He just changed phones and it seems a lot of times that back up needs tweaking. Then you can usually back up normally after you make one back up.
