Hallo
I have a little task where I use my phone as a remote control for my computer (through ssh commands), when I watch movies on my computer.
But one thing a bit annoying is the auto screen of after two minutes, which is good normally but not as a remote control.

I found only a not so elegant solution with the Secure Settings Plugin and screen_off_timeout, which is in:

Actions / Device Setting / system / screen_off_timeout / 3600000 (which is one hour).

I set it on the beginning to an hour and the end of the task resets it to 120000 (2 minutes).
There was a pure Tasker setting in the Action: Display / Stay on not anymore available since 4.2+ as I read in the popup.

But is there maybe a pure Secure Setting for this, to keep the screen on, without this change of screen_off_timeout?
Or a more beautiful solution for this?
I just found the pure Tasker setting "Display Timeout" (in Display actions) - is this just the same as the above?

Thank's

frank

If you set the display timeout to 23 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds in the regular Tasker settings, the display will remain on indefinitely.
