I can not find any useful info on this with a google search so I am hoping someone here can help. I purchased  a pixel c tablet a few months ago and it came with marshmallow 6.0.  I just updated to 7.1.1.  I “thought” before the update it had the typical folder tree from previous versions as shown in the screenshot . After the update my root directory looks like the second screen shot with just 2 folders that I can not access with my file browser (dual file manager). So now some of my tasker actions that read system files do not work, like this one that gets the current ‘Current’ of the device.

/sys/class/power_supply/bq27742-0/device/power_supply/bq27742-0/current_now

Could some explain this new structure and if I can still get this kind of information from reading system files?

Thanks,    Rich..

On Android 7 there are different security policies related with SELinux, so it's possible that now Tasker (and other apps) can't access to root folder.

Thanks John,  Could someone with a non rooted 7.1.1 device confirm this so I know its not just me doing something stupid.. :)  I Find it strange that there is no info on this with a google search. wich leads me to believe it is something I am doing wrong.
