Can I mute just one channel of my headphones?

Hi
I'm new to tasker and need to ;

Set stereo to mono
get ALL the sound coming out of the right headphone speaker

It's important that NO sound comes out of the other speaker.

The accessibility settings get close but do not reduce the quiet channel to zero

Any help would be most appreciated

Can you say a little bit more about your use case? What are you trying to accomplish in the real world?

From this description, I would say "take a scissors, and cut off the other speaker."

My grand daughter is deaf in one ear and has just had a cochlea implant. Noises have to be played into the deaf ear to encourage it to respond. She's only 4 so it's difficult to explain to her so we are trying to play her tunes she knows to see if she can 'hear' them in her bad ear. Any noise coming out of the headphone allows her to cheat. I have already considered cutting the wire but that would spoil the phones for everybody else. We can't use ear bud type phones because of her hearing aid.

Finding the right adapter or modifying the music to only play from one side would probably be only ways to do this.  Here's an article that may help a bit:

I was hoping there were some tasker variables that I could set that would mute one side or the other. I can get the music in mono using the accessibility options.
