Email attachments in Tasker

Hello Tasker Community,

Has anyone been able to find a third party app that will email attachment via Tasker; similar to what SL4 used to do. I have tried multiple email apps (SendSilentMail and MailTask) and they are not working; each has their own issues in the end they do not work. Looking for an third party app or process that works successfully.

I'm using mailtask too and it works great. Maybe it's something related to permissions, check logs.

Hello Mike, I checked the logs (at least the ones I can find) and still it does not work. What OS are u running; and what Android device do u have Tasker is running on.

This isn't very descriptive. When it fails does it throw an error? 

Are you using gmail or some other SMTP server?

If you use the exact same SMTP setup with a different email app, can you send email?

It only works when I manually initiate the Tasks and it does not kick off an error. I have the profile to initiate at 4:00 AM every morning and it never sends the email. But when I manually initiate the Tasks it works.

The problem isn't with MailTask then. Sounds more like your time context isn't firing at 4am.

Did you follow all of the advice given at this user's guide link?

As Robert stated it seems a profile issue. Have you checked out in the Tasker Run Log if it effectively triggers? Then check if you have enabled Reliable Alarms in Tasker preferences. You should set it on "When Off" or "Always" option. Last, ensure that Tasker  isn't "battery optimized" (Doze).

Hello All,

I decided to delete the Profile along with the Tasks and re-create it. For some unknown reason it now works. It sends the with attachments at the appointed time. I still cannot figure out why it now works but I want to thank everyone for their assistance. Maybe the planets were aligned in my favor :)
