Hi, So I just set up my first task

State - plugin - ip webcam pro - motion detect - task - plugin - email me pro - send email

It works. When Ip Webcam pro picks up motion it sends me an email.

The only problem is that is sends an email almost every second. So in one minute i get 20 emails of notification of motion capture.

How do I program tasker to only send an email for instance every 5 hours or something similar?

Problem: don't want 40 emails every time Ip webcam pro detects motion.

thanks you,.

You could set a variable to the min part of the time and use the if statement so it %minspast = 59 send emails with number of motion detections in the past hour

This will be quite resource heavy on tasker if its triggering the motion context every second anyway. what you want to do is reduce the triggering on motion before it gets to Tasker. I remember I had a small play with IP webcam and tinycam monitor a while back and there was a way to alter the motion sensitivity and timeout in these apps directly so I would recommend adjusting as much as you can there first so that Tasker isn't being triggered every second.

Perhaps you could use the Cooldown option in the Tasker Profile.
Not sure if it works for Plugin though..
