Had anyone else noticed that sometimes when setting the ringer volume using the volume rocker button, % VOLR will report two variable changes when the button was only pushed once? I noticed this when setting profile: event: variable set %VOLR action flash %VOLR. Tasker will flash the same value twice in a row when the button was only clicked once. I verified that this is what is happening by using arrays. %VOLR is getting set twice in a row with the same value when the button was only pushed once..

I am using tasker on a rooted SGH-T989 Galaxy S2 on T-Mobile, with a custom rom based on the stock firmware. I need % VOLR to report properly in order to complete a profile to manage vibrate and silent modes using the volume rocker button. I saw where someone else might have had this issue a little while back, but did not see a solution that would work.

Any ideas?

Hadn't noticed till you mentioned it.

Android is definitely reporting it twice, but the first time it says
the previous volume is the same as the current volume, so I'll ignore
those in future.

Ignoring the second value should work. I noticed that it only occurs when using the volume rocker button. When I set the volume via the system settings or my volume widget, it only reports once. One thing to watch out for, though, is to make sure that we do not throw out the two values when the button is pushed twice. The profile that I am trying to create uses the array to detect two successive "0" values reported by clicking the volume rocker button twice in a row (or that is the plan, at least).
