Hi,

I am using 2 profiles with the File Modified action on my Download folder (as folder watcher) with different tasks.
Whenever I download a file to that folder only one of this profiles runs (seems to be the last one created).
Is this supposed to work like that or is there a possibility to have both profiles run?

Maybe a timing issue? What does the log say tasker is doing?

The log shows only one profile activating, the other doesn't even show up in the log. If I delete the profile (the one that shows up in the log), the other one runs just fine. It seems that only one at a time gets activated.

Hmmm, you can try to call it as a secondary task within your first task. If it needs to wait you can make it wait for the parent to finish first, or if it doesn't matter then you can run them both together......
however it does seem like I have two tasks run with a same trigger.... it's a location based trigger.

Thanks for the hint. I will just call both tasks with the same profile/trigger. Should I need more tasks called in the future, I will create a parent task which then calls the subtasks.
Still kind of weird that only one profile runs while the identical profile is not called.

Looks like a definite bug. I get the exact same results as well as the profile will always fire twice for just one modified event.

Can you please export your profile's description (not xml) so I can take a look? Long-click the profile in Tasker->export description Thanks in advance

Here are my test tasks.

Profile: First Profile (640)
Event: File Modified [ File:Music/test.txt ]
Enter: First Task (641)
A1: Notify [ Title:First Text Text: Icon:null Number:0 Permanent:Off Priority:3 ]

Profile: Second Profile (646)
Event: File Modified [ File:Music/test.txt ]
Enter: Second Task (643)
A1: Notify [ Title:Second Task Text: Icon:null Number:0 Permanent:Off Priority:3 ]

So each of those profiles is triggering twice for you?

No.

The behavior is as follows..

When both profiles are enabled only one of them will fire when the file is modified.

If I disable the profile that is firing then no profiles will fire when the file is modified.

If I delete the profile that was firing then the other profile will fire with the file modified.

However when the profile does fire it will always fire twice for a single modified event.

I can confirm that behavior.
The difference with my profiles is that I use both with an entire folder instead of a single file.

As a workaround I have created only one File Modified profile on my download folder with a parent task that calls both subtasks instead of 2 profiles calling 2 tasks

I am running the latest Tasker beta if that is helpful.
