Hi there,

I'm searching to know how I can catch the event when Samsung DeX is started and when it is ended.

Thanks,

If you are using the quick settings toggle to start/end the Samsung DeX,  in the profile tab, use event->system->custom settings. Tap the magnifying lens icon->find. From there only, Toggle the quick settings and again tap on the magnifying lens, select the option relevant to Samsung Dex.

Thanks for suggesting a way. This approach only works in half way. I did and system detect the flag "wifi_display_on" with value is 1 or 0. It was good when I closed DeX or close Connect wirelessly window. But if via opening Connect wirelessly window (Settings - Connected devices - Samsung DeX & tap on button OR tap on quick settings toggle), at that time  wifi_display_on is 1 even though I still didn't really connect to any wireless monitor (DeX was still not load).

I need Tasker knows when DeX is opened in a monitor. Appreciate for any more ideas.

So, when you close DEx, it works. The only problem is when you open(or start) Dex. To solve this problem, you can use event->system->Logcat entry. Also, since Dex starts only after the event " wifi_display_on is 1" , use the action tasker-> profile status-> logcat profile(on) in the task linked with profile  " wifi_display_on is 1". if  Dex load time (T) put the action wait (T+5) seconds, 5 seconds is guard, then put the action tasker-> profile status-> logcat profile(off). This should solve the problem.

Thanks SDS for the trick. It should be worked if we are going in a flow: open . I'm appreciated.

In corner case, if I only want to check "Connect wirelessly" window (Settings - Connected devices - Samsung DeX & tap on button OR tap on quick settings toggle), that job will be triggered after timeout T+5 => wrong actions as expected :).

Anyway, I think I'm good now with your suggestions. It is better than nothing.

Sorry for hitting wrong button during edit the ideas :)

"It should be worked if we are going in a flow: open . I'm appreciated." => should be read as "  It should be worked if we are going in a flow: open "Connect wirelessly" window, start to connect to wireless screen (or plug the appropriate cable). I'm  appreciate with that approaching."
