Pre purchase queries: Clarify payment website contradiction & perplexity.ai use case solution

Looking at https://tasker.joaoapps.com/patreon.html, it says, "With just a single one-time payment, you get to keep it forever and get all its future updates for free." However, going to the payment page, it's a monthly subscription. Is the on-time payment comment deprecated and needs to be removed, or am I missing something?

I assumed the following use case could be automated in tasker:

When I am using the perplexity.ai app in Android I want to disable NordVPN.

I decided to ask Perplexity, who suggests using 2 profiles, is this the optimum way?

Steps to Use Tasker with NordVPN

1. Install Tasker: Ensure you have Tasker installed on your Android device.
2. Create a New Profile:
   • Open Tasker and go to the "Profiles" tab.
   • Tap the "+" button to create a new profile.
   • Choose a context that suits your needs (e.g., "Application" if you want to disable NordVPN when using the Perplexity app).
3. Select the Application:
   • If you chose "Application," select Perplexity from the list of apps.
4. Create a Task:
   • After selecting the application, Tasker will prompt you to create a new task.
   • Tap on "New Task" and give it a name (e.g., "Disable NordVPN").
5. Add Action to Disconnect VPN:
   • In the task edit screen, tap "+" to add an action.
   • Choose "Net" and then select "VPN."
   • You may need to select "Disconnect" or use a specific intent to disconnect NordVPN.
6. Test Your Setup:
   • Open Perplexity and see if NordVPN disconnects as expected.
   • You can also create another profile to reconnect NordVPN when you exit Perplexity or switch to another app.

On Patreon you can subscribe for one month for example, and then unsubscribe right away and still keep the license :)

About your profile, as usual AI simply confidently dreams up stuff that doesn't exist :P There's no VPN action in Tasker like it mentions.

If NordVPN has a way for 3rd party apps to interact with it, then there could be a way. Maybe it has a notification when it's enabled that you can interact with in Tasker? Otherwise only something like AutoInput will do for that situation.
