I'm a long-term Tasker user and I know Tasker drains a lil bit more battery, but since I bought a N7, after some time im having problems with wakelocks on Tasker. When I had my 4.3 SGSIII it was working normally, no wakelocks, but now i changed to a N5, and its keeping the phone awake like on mine N7.

Im keeping here my Tasker backup and a screenshot. Thanks for any help provided. (both devices on 4.4.2 + rooted)

Wakelocks are normal. Tasker wouldn't work with the screen off otherwise.

The amount Tasker needs to set and release are dependent on your profiles and tasks.

There are lots of threads about it with explanations.

When you say 'keeping the phone awake', do you mean it is holding a wakelock for a long time without releasing it ?
If so, which one and for how long ?

I know that, sir :P Its keeping it for going on deep sleep even for 1sec. Thats the issue! I just recently changed from S3 (4.3) to N5(4.4.2) (I did backup and restored on N5) , so same profiles, same everything, and it keeps it from sleeping.

As I showed on Screenshot, was WILLYUM thingie that seems that is not allowing it to sleep i think. I dont understand it:/ Only thing changed was the Android version and phon xD.

It sux cause now I have Tasker disabled just cause of this, some weird thing hapened also on my N7 some time ago, so maybe is Android version related. (stock 4.4.2 + root using Nexus Root Kit)

Uh... that's a big change for Tasker. There's several actions that won't import and act properly from one device to a totally different one.

WILLYUM is an alarm, not a wakelock (as it shows in the screenshot).

When you do a Wait action an alarm is set to wake up the device when the Wait expires. The phone can therefore sleep in-between.

If you have a little Wait in a loop you'll generate lots of them.

... for example.

But thats strange, cause the profiles are exatcly the same as on my S3, and Tasker didnt stoped my S3 from going into deep sleep...

If I understand right, Tasker is the same and the Tasker configuration is the same and it was working OK on 2 different devices.

Now you have a different device and you have root, which means the device config could also be vastly different.

Of course I could be mistaken, but this description does not seem to point at a problem with Tasker.

Hehe no:P, I had root on Galaxy s3 too. Everything is the same on S3 and N5 except for Android version, one was 4.3 another 4.4.2...

Including all the Developer Options and anything you've configured in stuff like xposed or similar apps ?

Also, your screenshot shows 280+ alarms, but not the time frame over which it occured. If you're getting them all over a short
time span, you should find lots of wait actions in your Run Log for the same time frame.

When I got some out-of-work time to test Tasker again I will. ATM is off can't risk it cause when I leave home I go to work and Nexus 5 battery handling sux xD But ill try it again, maybe I needed to clear Data or smth after restoring backup?

And Yeap, everything the same with xposed aswell etc :)
