I keep getting this error:
permission to launch tasks has not been granted by tasker

everytime I try to run a task from another program such as trigger.

Anyone experience this before?

I dunno but if i was to take a guess i would say its because you don't have allow external access turned on, open tasker.

Menu/preferences/Its in there somewere

Under the misc tab after reading the help (question mark) It sounds like this is your problem.

I tried this just now.

1. I uninstalled both.
2. I then installed tasker and did a restore (from manual backup).  It worked great.  Everything was back.
3. Then I installed trigger and added a NFC task to run a tasker task.
4. I tried then to run the trigger routine manually and from the NFC tag.  I know trigger is trying it because I get the toast message.  But tasker task won't run.

I know the tasker task works because I run it manually and it does what it's supposed to (I'm doing  a script->run shell to advance to next song in spotify)

Any ideas?  Do I need to install tasker first and then power cycle or something before installing Trigger?

Yup. I even clicked that PRIOR to installing Trigger app. I'm on 4.4.2 moto x BTW.

Good idea. I did have that off. But just tried and still no luck. :-( I'm also out of ideas.

Same here,

after restoring apps with Titanium Backup, Trigger couldn't launch Tasker tasks; so I checked the external acces in Tasker, uninstalled Trigger & reinstalled it (with TB) and since then it works perfectly :)
