Tasker Scripts in a Text Editor??

I'm learning Tasker - its fantastic. 

I just sat down for an editing session - creating a half-dozen tasks or so, a couple contexts and widgets. 

It took me 10 mins to sketch out what I wanted using my text editor.  Then a couple hours to enter the various tasks into the cellphone.  Ouch!!  My eyes and fingers hurt!!

I'd love to be able to write tasker scripts in the text editor.  Does anyone do this?? 

What is the best way to create Tasker scripts that are more complex??
