Hi All

Relatively new to Tasker but loving it.

I've created some custom LED Notification to use different LED colours
for SMS & Gmail. These are working really well but I also get the
Tasker Notification in my notification bar. I've tried to use a
Notify Cancel event which does remove the notification in the bar, but
it also removed the custom LED returning to the system default.

Is there anyway to keep the LED going while cancelling the
notification in the bar?

Thanks

The LED flashing is part of the notification...

Cancel the notification on an event that means the phone is being
looked at, like screen on or when a notification is being
pressed. Doesn't get rid of them early but means you don't have to
manually get rid of them.

At least on my phone (Droid 2), the LED will only blink when the
display is asleep. So what I did was add a profile that does a Notify
Cancel when the display wakes up. Once the phone is unlocked, the
Tasker notifications are automatically removed from the notification
bar, leaving the SMS, Gmil, etc.

How did you get it to work for Gmail? For me, it would not change the
color so what I had to do was get the free Gmail Notifier app and put
a context on that app in order to trigger the profile. It work, but
is ugly and was just wondering how you got it to work.

Thanks Guys, that makes sense, I'll give it a go.

For my Gmail I just use a Notification context on the Gmail app and
then a Notify LED task, seems to work fine on my HTC Desire.

Cancelling the notification on Display On works a treat, don't have to
manually clear anymore, thanks heaps!
